| Comments: | Carthago Sun I, sire, was Champion of the first Canadian Warmblood Stallion test in Canada. He scored premium on his stallion licensing for conformation and movement and is a stallion with lots of heart. He was shown and won in 1.3 m jumper classes. Calvin’s dam Illusion is in the main mare book is by one of the world’s top KWPN lines, Indoctro. She was bred out of one of our premium foundation mares with frozen semen. Indoctro is preferent KWPN jumping sire who has many of his progeny jumping at the Grand Prix and World Cup levels. In 2008, he had 3 progeny participating in the Olympic Games. Black Ice was ridden by Canadian Jill Henselwood and showed at Spruce Meadows and at international levels. Orame, won a 6 bar competition jumping 2.0 m. and a $50,000 grand prix in the U.S. under Chris Kappler. Indoctro’s jumping index is 156 in Germany and he passes along his jumping genes. Calvin is a handsome 3 yr old with lots of presence, elevated movement and a cool head. He is a star in the jump chute and has lightly worked in the round pen due to his growthy size which is almost 17 hands. We believe he is international quality and suitable for the upper level disciplines. |
